It all started over 70 years ago ...
My paternal grand-uncle owned the neighboring vineyard of the future Château Haut-Lagrange, my maternal grandparents owned the other neighboring vineyard. As a child, I spent all my holidays in the family vineyard, it is there that the passion of the vine and the wine came to me.
When I created Haut-Lagrange at the end of the 1980s, the children were still very young and always ready to help; they have largely contributed to the success of the property.
Today, the skills of each meet and complement each other to ensure high quality wines and a friendly and warm welcome to visitors.

Ghislain Boutemy, director of Haut-Lagrange, is surrounded by a permanent team of 3 people passionate about the vine and wine who share common values such as respect for nature and the love of the terroir. Each expert in his field, they work to produce high quality wines and offer a friendly welcome to visitors.
The team of Haut-Lagrange's friends, whom you recognize in their good mood, lend a helping hand during major events such as the Portes Ouvertes of Pessac-Léognan at the beginning of December.
Staff safety is one of our priorities. We adapt our practices to guarantee an optimal and safe working environment, using the HACCP method, in accordance with the Terra Vitis label.
