Constellation des Sens

The transmission of know-how has been a driving force in our family for four generations. It is fully expressed in our La Constellation des Sens cuvée, which offers deep aromas, silky tannins and a remarkable balance.

"Each wine is much more than a blend of grape varieties. It is also the memory of those who cultivated and shaped it. For us, this memory has been woven for four generations.

It all began in 1941, when my great-grandparents acquired a vineyard in Léognan, in the heart of the Graves region. They envisioned it as a place to live and share.

A few decades later, in 1989, my father, Francis, founded Château Haut-Lagrange, in the spirit of what he had passed down to him: respect for the terroir, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the conviction that wine is, above all, a human story.

I grew up among the rows of vines and, to my great delight, on tractors. In 2013, I took over the management of the family estate, with the feeling of carrying on a legacy.

In 2019, I wanted to give form to this invisible thread that connects our four generations.

The Constellation of the Senses was born, a wine that combines the expertise of yesterday and today, true to the spirit of great terroir wines. A cuvée that pays homage to transmission, to family, to the simple beauty of the gesture that endures."

Ghislain Boutemy

Constellation des Sens is a limited-edition cuvée, with only 2,573 bottles produced, the result of meticulous and passionate work on our finest vineyard plots.

Crafted from a balanced blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is vinified and aged entirely in four 500-liter barrels for 18 months. This unique format fosters a delicate interaction with the oak, revealing the full richness and depth of the grape varieties.

In the bottle, Constellation des Sens captivates with its harmony and elegance. Ripe fruit mingles with notes of sweet spices and finely toasted oak. On the palate, the silky, full-bodied texture culminates in a long, lingering finish, full of finesse and balance.
