The scenario
The Boutemy family hands you the keys to Haut-Lagrange for a year. You're now in charge. To pull off a successful vintage, you'll need to work as a team and crack a series of riddles covering viticulture, winemaking and wine tasting. You have one hour to unlock the cellar key and walk away with a bottle of wine.
The Wine'scape is a team game, original and accessible, that takes you into the world of wine in a completely unexpected way. The riddles are designed for all levels of knowledge. The game takes place in our cellar and ends with a tasting of a white and two reds from the estate.
The Escape Game is currently available in French only.
More Than Just a Logic Game
The Wine'scape is not your typical escape room. To crack the clues, you'll need to observe, smell, taste, calculate, search and collaborate. Each clue draws on a different skill and gives you a real feel for the complexity of the winemaker's craft, from the vineyard to the cellar to the glass.
With a success rate between 60% and 65%, the Wine'scape is a genuine challenge. The best teams are the ones who play to each other's strengths.
Practical Information
The game is designed for groups of 4 to 8 people. Minimum recommended age is 14. Phones go in a basket at the start and are returned after the game.
After the game, time to unwind: the experience ends with a tasting of our wines. Wine tasting is reserved for guests aged 18 and over.
The Wine'scape is a great team building activity. It can be combined with our Blending Workshop: while one group plays, the other blends, then they switch. The day can wrap up with a Private Gourmet Visit. Contact us for group rates and event planning.

Château Haut-Lagrange is located in Léognan, 15 km south of Bordeaux, easily accessible by car and by bike. Free semi-shaded afternoon parking is available on site. The game takes place in our cellar and is wheelchair accessible.
Cancellation policy: cancellation or rescheduling possible up to 24 hours before the session. We kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Late arrivals may result in a shorter experience.
